Quark
XPress Postscript
Settings |
Although Quark Xpress is capable
of exporting PDF files in one step, for the most successful results,
it is recommended to create the Postscript file from Quark before
using Acrobat Distiller to generate PDF files. These steps will also
allow for the final PDF to be rendered in the most desired results.

|
- From within Quark, Select File > Print
|
|
Device
- Printer: Adobe PDF
- PPD: Adobe PDF
- Select paper size. For projects that contain no ink
that extends to the trimmed edge (bleed), the paper size should match
the final size. For project that do contain pages that bleed, adjust
paper size to be 1/2 inch larger on all four sides.

- Mode:
- Select "Composite" for CMYK output.
- Select "Composite and Spot" for CMYK and spot colors.
- Select "Grayscale" for black ink only.
- It is recommended that all colors should already be
in the color mode correct. It is unreliable to assume Quark will correctly
alter colors at this stage of production.
